About Your Senior Pictures

 This school year
is going by very quickly. Commencement isn't that far away. Now would be
a good time to schedule a portrait sitting for additional senior pictures
or to take pictures with your family and friends. Members of our Senior
Portrait Club do not have to pay for additional portrait sittings.
Before you head off to college, come into our portrait studio with your
siblings, your friends, members of your sports teams or members of clubs
you participate in. You can have cap and gown pictures taken if you
haven't done so already.
Don't wait until the last minute because you will be plenty busy when May
and June roll around.

 Inspired by
owners of other MotoPhoto Portrait Studios around the country, we have
decided to create our own blog about the portraits we take of babies,
kids and families in our portrait studio.
This blog will show you samples of some of our most recent portraits to
inspire you. We will also give you tips for getting the best portraits
and share with you information about upcoming portrait studio promotions.
Because we just started the blog, it is not yet content rich. But,
subscribe to the blog and, over time, you will see and learn a lot.

For years, we have carried film, digital media, frames, albums and cards.
Help us better serve your needs by completing our short, five question

Time
to Plan for Family Portraits at the Nature Center
|

 It is time to
start thinking about making your appointment to have a heirloom-quality
family portrait taken at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes this June. The
dates for this year's portraits are June 14 and 15.

Before
Spring Break, the ProEventPhoto photographers were at the Shaker Middle
School taking pictures of the bands, orchestras and choruses. We were also
back at the Woodbury Elementary School to take school pictures of
students who missed out in September and October.
We will be taking individual, team and action pictures for the Pavilion
Ice Show in Cleveland Heights and the Shaker Ice Show at Thornton Park.
We will be at Gesu School to take the 8th grade graduation picture. We'll
be at the Early Childhood Enrichment Center for Spring Pictures. Also, we
will be taking pictures at the Shaker Heights Country Club's
Father-Daughter dance and at the Orange High School Senior Prom.
Look for us at the Shaker Youth Soccer Association taking team and
individual photos. Also, watch for us at St. Dominic's Church and Church
of the Gesu for First Communion portraits.
And, it is almost time for the 2008 Shaker Heights High School Senior
Class Picture and Senior Prom.

The sitting fee is only $9.95. We can take the portraits in both color

Seminar on Creating Your PhotoBooks Online

On
Tuesday, April 29th, MotoPhoto will be hosting a free seminar to help you
learn how to create PhotoBooks online. This seminar will be held at our
store and begins at 7:00pm.
Besides going through the process of creating your PhotoBook, the seminar
will also discuss using our online service, MOTOePics, to send your
digital pictures to our store and to order a variety of photo gifts.
The seminar is limited to ten registrants.

Recycling

There
are two opportunities coming up to recycle your old computers and
electronics equipment.
The City of Shaker Heights is sponsoring Computer Roundup days on April
12th and 13th. Click

Electronics Recycling Day on April 19th for its members. Click

Ohio
Cemetery Alliance Photo Exhibit

|
Photographers
are invited to exhibit cemetery photos at the Ohio Cemetery Alliance's
Photography Exhibit. The OCA Photography Exhibit is open to photographers
from Ohio or from out of state if the photo is of an Ohio cemetery.
Photographs of funerals or other private burial matters are not
permitted. Entries must have been photographed within the past 2 years
(May 2006).
Submissions are due by May 17, 2008.

 We were both
pleased and amazed at the response to our VHS->DVD Special. People
have been showing up with shopping bags full of VHS tapes. Our DVD
recorder is running all day long.
This demonstrates how important it is to preserve your memories. Old
VHS tapes, movie film, slides, negatives and prints are deteriorating
at an increasing rate. Most VHS players don't work anymore. Converting
your memories to a digital format is just a smart thing to do if you or
your children want to see your captured memories in the future.
Take advantage of this great deal now but keep bringing your memories
to us to preserve even after the special is over.

VHS to DVD $9.95 Special Extended
to 4/15

To
introduce our new, in-house VHS to DVD capability, we are running a $9.95
special. Due to popular demand, we have extended this special until April
15, 2008. Bring in your VHS tapes and we will transfer them to DVD.
The normal price is $24.95 for a two hour VHS tape. For our introductory
special, there is no limit to the number of VHS tapes we will transfer at
the special price of $9.95 per tape.
We are not permitted to duplicate copyrighted, professionally produced
tapes so please don't bring in your Dora the Explorer tapes.
Please be a little patient with us. This special introductory promotion
has been so successful that we are up to our knees in tapes.
This special doesn't last for very long so dig out those old VHS tapes
now and bring them on in before they turn to dust.
