Shaker
School Pictures Update

 MotoPhoto,
through its ProEventPhoto service, is the official photographer for all
of the schools in the Shaker Heights School District for the 2007-2008
school year. We have completed taking school pictures for all of the
Shaker Schools and are in the middle of the schedule for Retake Days.
If your child was unable to attend his or her school's Retake Day, you
may schedule a Retake appointment at our studio. But, from the reaction
to the quality of our school pictures, we are finding that few students
are needing retakes.

Great Nature Center at Shaker Lakes Portrait Season

 We recently
completed our latest Fall Family Portraits at the Nature Center at Shaker
Lakes. This year, the weather was very cooperative. No rainouts or snowflakes
like those we have endured occasionally in past years. We were able to
take some of our all-time best Nature Center Family Portraits.
We will be back at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes next June and
October.

Basics
of Digital Photography Seminar

The next Basics of Digital Photography seminar is
scheduled for Thursday, November 8, 2007. It begins at 7:00pm and will be
held at the Shaker Heights Library - Bertram Woods Branch.

future, we will be at the Cooperative Nursery School at Heights Christian
Church, Preparing Academic Leaders Academy, Gesu Preschool, the Jewish

First Baptist Preschool.
We will be taking the team and individual pictures for the Shaker Youth
Hockey Association and for the Cleveland Skating Club hockey teams. And,

Nature Center Calendar

 The Nature
Center at Shaker Lakes Photo Club has created a beautiful 2008 nature
calendar. You can purchase one for $13 at MotoPhoto.
This calendar features photographs taken by photo club members at the
Nature Center and in the Doan Brook watershed.
These calendars make great holiday gifts. All of the proceeds from the
sales of the calendars benefits the Nature Center.

 Many Shaker
Heights residents have heard that there are major redevelopment plans
underway for the 60 area Van Aken area. The hope is to create a new
downtown for Shaker Heights with new commercial, residential and retail
construction right where our store is now located.
While it will still take much effort and a number of years for this
plan to be completed, you are invited to participate in the planning
process. The City of Shaker Heights is holding a series of public
forums.

Rick has been appointed by the Mayor to the Warrensville-Van Aken
Citizen Advisory Committee so he will be an integral part of this
process.
