AngelPic
Project
|
|

|
|
Our MotoPhoto
store is now participating in the AngelPic Project. This program provides
free restoration/retouch service to the families of newborn infants which
never made it home from the hospital. Often, families have only one or
two photos of their lost infant. These photos often show bruising, oxygen
tubes or other medical devices that might obstruct the view of their
baby. This service fixes the discoloration or bruising, removes the
tubing, or whatever else that would make the AngelPic worthy of the child
in the photo. Families receive a free 5"x7" or 8"x10"
print.
Since this project is of a sensitive nature, it has only been promoted to
families through grief counseling groups, prenatal hospital wards, or
survivor networks. We have now joined the AngelPic Project to make it
more readily available to families in need.
If you would like to know more about the AngelPic Project, please contact
us.

Introducing
Shoebox Scanning
|
|
|
|

How
many of you have boxes and boxes of photographs tucked away in your
closets, in your attic or your basement? Or, have you come across old
pictures from your parents or other relatives?
The MotoPhoto and Portrait Studio at the Van Aken Center in Shaker
Heights is introducing a new service to turn all of those pictures into
digital files on CDs or DVDs.
Bring all of your prints to MotoPhoto and we will scan and digitize them
for you. This is a great way to protect your pictures. Your pictures
could get destroyed because of an accident or natural disaster. They fade
as they get older. Scanning them now, and putting the resulting CD or DVD
in a safe place, preserves your pictures so that they can still be seen
in the future.
Giving a CD or DVD of your pictures to your children, your parents or
your siblings makes a great gift and helps protect your precious family
photographs.
Prices start at $24.99 for 50 pictures. The price per picture gets lower
for more pictures. You can even mail your pictures to us to scan instead
of having to stop by the store.

Owners'
Corner

Providing the
school pictures for the Shaker School system and for Fairview High
School has been a major undertaking for us. Because of a great deal of
advance planning, so far things have gone very smoothly.
The Administration staff and the staff at the schools have been very
helpful and wonderful to work with. Our own photographers have had a
great time with the kids and have coaxed fantastic smiles out of almost
every student.
The kids themselves have been the most fun. From the Pre-Ks to the
Juniors, they have been made our job a pleasure.
Behind the scenes, we are working hard to get all the pictures printed
and delivered on time.
Taking school pictures is a natural extension of our business and we
hope to see those faces for many years to come.
